Roma youngsters in China for Great Wall Cup

AS Roma’s U16 Allievi Nazionali side set out on their Chinese adventure on Saturday as Alessandro Toti and his Giallorossi youngsters flew to Beijing, where they will be taking part in the Great Wall Cup.

The Allievi Nazionali’s arrival in China means that the Giallorossi – taking into account the first team and youth academy – have visited no fewer six countries already this summer. Whilst the first team have travelled to Australia, Indonesia and Portugal already this summer, the Primavera team have also visited Toronto in Canada with the AS Roma USA Academy crossing the Atlantic to compete in the Dale Farm Milk Cup in Northern Ireland.

Kicking off on August 4, the Great Wall Cup will see the Giallorossi U16s drawn in a group alongside two local sides (Beijing No.18 High School and Beijing No.47 Middle School). The knock-out stages will take place over August 7 and 8.
