Fiorentina failed to win their first home game in the Serie A Week 2 game against Venezia on Sunday 25 August 2025 at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy.  The matchup between Palladino and Di Francesco lacked excitement, as Fiorentina made several attempts to score but couldn’t find a way past Joronen, who was the standout player on the pitch today. Both coaches attempted to shake things up with substitutions, but the game remained flat, resulting in each team walking away with a point. As a result, Fiorentina gains two points in the standings following their away draw against Parma, while Venezia secures their first point of the season.

In sum, Fiorentina and Venezia still aiming for their first victory. The Viola kicked off their season with two draws: they first faced Parma in their league debut, which ended in a 1-1 tie, followed by a thrilling 3-3 draw against Hungary’s Puskas Akademia in the Conference League.
