Vincenzo Montella met with journalists ahead of his side’s return to Serie A action against Sampdoria on Easter Saturday.
The coach began by analysing the opposition: “They’re a top side, a real team – compact and full of desire. Sinisa and I are good friends, although sadly we don’t get to see each other very often. Sinisa was already showing what a strong character he is back in his playing days. We’ll have to be smart. Sampdoria have lots of talented individuals.”
Are Sampdoria this season’s surprise package?
“It’s not only Samp – there’s Empoli and Palermo too.”
What sort of game do you expect against Juve on Tuesday?
“Anything could happen but for now we’re focused on the league.”
Is this the most important time of your career?
“I’m calm because I have a compact squad to work with.”
