AC MILAN YOUTH TEAM THROUGH IN PLAY-OFF

 

Youth team defeated Sassuolo 1-0 in their play-off game.

MILAN – The youth team came through their play-off against Sassuolo with a 1-0 victory in what was a hard-fought encounter.

The Rossoneri went into the break holding the lead thanks to a penalty on 28 minutes converted by Gamarra which had been earned by Felicioli. The visitors hit the post through Zecca on 34 minutes but Zanellato almost extended Milan’s advantage before the break with a header.

Sassuolo pressed for the equaliser and Zecca came close again on the hour-mark. There were further chances at both ends but it was Stefano Nava’s side that came out on top, with Vido firing a shot just over the bar late on.
