MILAN – Cristian Brocchi spoke to the Milan Channel shortly after the Milan Primavera’s 3-1 victory over Al Shabab in Dubai. Here were the coach’s post-match comments:
“The match against Valencia was more competitive and there is a deadly heat. The match against Al Shabab was different. This experience here in Dubai is wonderful; the type that is needed to help the players understand and experience something out of the ordinary. We’ve not yet qualified, but after two wins we’re in a fairly good position. We hope we can gain revenge over Real Madrid. Testing the players in these conditions is an important means of extra training for the team. It’s a shame that not all of us are here. To achieve results you need a united group and this is the proof. Vassallo should join us here in Dubai after the international match for Italy.
“It’s a fantastic experience: I am preparing the team for the matches, making them have a good time and I am also making them study! It’s also important to focus on something else but the championship, but keeping our objectives firmly in our minds.
“Ronchi had lots of problems, he didn’t have many chances, but he had a great game against Valencia. Zucchetti is part of the Allievi Nazionali youth team, and in this tournament has shown that he’s fully recovered.”
