🏆 👉    Inter win the UEFA Champions League Semifinal Second Leg on Tuesday 16 May 2023 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy.   The aggregate result is Inter 3 – 0 Milan.   Inter reach their sixth European Cup/Champions League final and their first since 2009/10 under José Mourinho. Simone Inzaghi is the fifth Italian coach to lead an Italian team to a Champions League final, after Fabio Capello with Milan (x3), Marcello Lippi with Juventus (x4), Carlo Ancelotti with Milan (x3) and Massimiliano Allegri with Juventus (x2).

Lautaro Martinez’s goal is enough to grab this victory.    Inter win both erbies valid for the semi-finals of the Champions League and qualify for the final: on 10 June, in Istanbul, they will face the winner of the match between Manchester City and Real Madrid, who will start again tomorrow at the Etihad Stadium from the result of 1-1. The Nerazzurri thus arrive at the last act of the top European competition, after having passed the group with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Viktoria Plzen, and having eliminated Porto, Benfica and, indeed, Milan.

✅    Stats before the game: Inter have beaten Milan three times this season, in different competitions (Serie A, Supercoppa Italiana and Champions League). They have beaten Milan four times in a season on only one previous occasion, in 1973/74 (twice in Serie A, twice in the Coppa Italia). After beating Inter in their first meeting of the season in September, Milan have lost their last three games against their rivals, all without scoring, despite attempting 31 shots in those games. The Rossoneri have never gone four times in a row without finding the goal against Inter in their history. In the history of the Champions League, only one team has won the first leg of the semi-final by two or more goals and then failed to progress: Barcelona failed to get through against Liverpool in 2018/19, winning the first game 3-0, but losing the second 4-0 at Anfield – Milan forward Divock Origi scored twice in that match, including his fourth.
