AC MILAN YOUTH TEAM: THE FUTURE’S BRIGHT

 

Youth teams impress over the weekend.

MILAN – Here is our weekend round-up from the Milan youth sector:

PRIMAVERA: with league action on hold and set to resume on April 23, the Rossoneri played a friendly with Novara which ended 7-4 in favour of the Rossoneri. The star man for Milan was Luca Vido who netted an amazing four times.

ALLIEVI UNDER 17: despite a 2-0 loss to Inter in the derby, the team stay third in the table. The final two games of the league season pit the team against Verona and Vicenza.

ALLIEVI UNDER 16: Nava’s boys were edged out 1-0 at home by Cremonese. Before the setback however the Rossoneri had gone 3 matches without loss.

GIOVANISSIMI UNDER 15: Maldini, Salami (2), Olzer and Haidara were all on the score-sheet in a 5-2 win at Feralpisalò. With this result, the Rossoneri have guaranteed third place in the table regardless of the result in the last match against bottom side Pro Piacenza.

GIOVANISSIMI REGIONALI 2002: well done to the Milan Giovanissimi 2002 on beating Napoli 4-0 in the final of the ‘Torneo delle Sirene’. In front of around 3000 spectators, the Rossoneri youngsters put on a show, taking a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to goals from Grassi and Bassoli. In the second-half, Capone and Giosuè sealed the win.

GIOVANISSIMI REGIONALI 2003: Misso’s team cruised to a 6-0 victory at home to Renate in the league. Kouruma, Tamella, N’Gbesso, Polenghi, Curreri and Citi were all on the score-sheet. With this win, the Rossoneri consolidate first place on 68 points.
