MILAN –  Today, 114 years ago, on May 5th 1901, Milan were crowned champions of Italy for the first time in their history thanks to an away win against Genoa (0-3) in the decisive game for the title.

On May 5th 2002, Milan beat Lecce 3-0 and qualified for the Preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League which they then went on to win the following season with a penalty shoot-out victory over Juventus in Manchester.
