AC Milan triumphed over Liverpool on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Hong Kong. Milan netted their first goals and achieved their initial victory of the summer. The final score was 4-2 in favor of Milan against the English champions, following a strong performance. At the Kai Tak Stadium, AC Milan showcased their efficiency on the counter and their composure in possession. The Rossoneri now need to build on this confidence as they prepare for the last match of their Asia-Pacific tour: Perth Glory is set to face them in Australia on Thursday, July 31.
It’s no surprise that three of the goals from the Rossoneri originated from counterattacks.
Rafael Leão got the scoring underway early, while Loftus-Cheek and Okafor both found the net within a seven-minute span in the second half. The Swiss forward then capped off the match during stoppage time.
The evening also featured a heartfelt tribute to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, while impressive goals from Szoboszlai and Gakpo ultimately had no impact on the outcome.
In comparison to the match in Singapore, Allegri’s team made notable improvements, particularly in their attacking play.
Goals: 10′ Leão (M), 26′ Szoboszlai (L), 52′ Loftus-Cheek (M), 59′ and 90’+4 Okafor (M), 90’+3 Gakpo (L).
