Final training session before Milan’s tour of China.

MILAN – Following the pre-season friendly with Lyon on Saturday and the subsequent 2 days-off granted by coach Mihajlovic, the rossoneri were back training again at Milanello on Tuesday afternoon for the last session before jetting off to China for the International Champions Cup.

Tuesday’s training session started at 17.00 out on the lower pitch with a warm-up which consisted of drills with the ball: passing and dribbling. The players were then divided into 3 groups and did a keep-ball drill.

The squad was then split into 2 groups for a possession exercise 6 v 6 plus a free-floating player that played for the side in possession. 2 small goals were used to mark out the pitch.

After the possession exercises, the players moved over to the central pitch at Milanello and brought the session to a close with running exercises.

Individuals: Recent additions Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano both trained with the rest of the squad.

Shortly after the training session, coach Mihajlovic called-up the following 28 players for the tour to China:

GOALKEEPERS: Abbiati, Donnarumma, Gori, Diego Lopez.
DEFENDERS: Abate, Alex, Antonelli, Calabria, De Sciglio, Ely, Mexes, Paletta, Zapata.
MIDFIELDERS: Bertolacci, Bonaventura, De Jong, Josè Mauri, Montolivo, Nocerino, Poli, Suso.
FORWARDS: Bacca, Cerci, Honda, Luiz Adriano, Menez, Matri, Niang.
