MILAN – On this day 40 years ago, the 25th of May 1975, Milan beat Inter 1-0 thanks to a goal from Sabadini nine minutes from the end of the match. It was a big win that would help Milan later qualify from the Coppa Italia group stages and go through to the final.

Also on this day, but in 2005, Milan lost the UEFA Champions League final to Liverpool on penalties in Istanbul.
