A total of 24 teams have confirmed their attendance, 13 of which from Italy and 11 from abroad. These include some of the best European clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint Germain, CSKA Moscow, Porto, Galatasaray, Ajax and Anderlecht.

In addition to Milan, carrying the hopes for the Italian teams meanwhile will be the likes of Inter, Juventus, Palermo, Hellas Verona and Atalanta.
