The first game of new AC Milan Coach Paulo Fonseca ended in a 1-1 draw against Rapid Vienna on Saturday 20 July 2024 at the Allianz Stadion in Hütteldorf, Vienna.  This is not a bad result for their first friendly pre-season of the 2024-25 Season.  Alessandro Florenzi gave AC Milan the lead in the 64th minute with a right footed shot defeating Rapid Vienna goalkeeper Niklas Hedl in the high center.  In the 88th minute, Furkan Demir equalized defeating Milan goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani with a right footed shot to the center.

Fonseca had a chance to get to know his new players by using two completely different teams for the two halves.

The debut for Mattia Liberali.  A familiar face returning to Milan is Daniel Maldini, who provided the assist for the goal. Maldini was on loan to Monza until the end of the 2023–24 season. The team will have a day off and return to double training session on Monday 22 July.
