Ex-Milan stars are playing their part for the Milan Foundation.

MILAN – The Nutrilite Sand Volley Challenge 2015, the beach volleyball tournament dedicated to the projects supported by the Milan Foundation, got underway on Wednesday at Palauno in Milan.

Over 100 people were on hand to watch the 9 teams taking part and the first team to be knocked out was Giorgio Tesi Vivai.

From the remaining sides, the following 4 have gone through to the semi-finals which will be held at Milanello on the 4th of June: Scuola Bottega; Sartoria Luca Paolo Rossi; Infront and the Milan Foundation. Ambrosini and Serginho are amongst the ex-Milan stars taking part and have gone through to the semi-finals of the charity tournament.

The funds raised will go to the “Sport and Social Inclusion” programme which aims to tackle youth problems through the promotion of sport. Specifically, the initiative will support the Scuola Bottega project, a programme built on the principle of alternation between school and work, an effective tool in responding to the “risk dispersion” for young people who need good proposals and points of reference, to resume with confidence their training.
