“Today’s game made me very happy as we played good football. All credit to the players as they all did incredibly well. They should be proud. Playing like this away from home is very satisfying and we’re very happy. I was calm even after the cup match because if you play like this, it may end badly once but in the end you’ll go far. It was a great surprise to see all the fans here today and that really helped us a lot. Now we’ll think about Atalanta on Sunday. The most important thing for me is the growth of my players and they’ve all come on a lot in the past five months. We’re a united team and a good group. The Youth League helped a lot in making this team. We deserve to be in the position that we’re in given the football we’re playing. Piccinocchi played an extraordinary game today, physically and technically, like all the others.”
