FILIPPO GALLI TO THE MILAN CHANNEL: “It will be a good match with Torino.”

MILAN – After finding out that the Milan youth team will meet Torino in the Scudetto quarter-finals, the head of the youth sector Filippo Galli spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel. These were his thoughts ahead of that match which is scheduled for the 10th of June:

“When you reach the Final-8, it’s doesn’t matter who you meet. They are all strong teams that have been through a tough season. It will be a good match with Torino. We faced them at a tournament dedicated to the mother of the Torino president. They’re aggressive, they will play with intensity and they are good technically. They have an experienced coach and they are an established side at these levels. It will be great to play in a match like this.

“With coach Brocchi, we followed the draw live. We’re calm. We know a bit about Torino and it will be important that we give a high level performance to defeat them. As of today we have all the lads together to start training. Recently we haven’t had all the players together. Our style of play begins on the training pitch. You play just like you train. We have 10 days to prepare. We’re sorry about the injury to Piccinocchi. He could have given us something extra and we will miss him. We won’t exchange our way of playing for a win. The Milan Model is a method that involves everyone. There’s no point winning without playing a formative form of football.”
