DE SCIGLIO: WE HAVE TO SPIT BLOOD

MILAN – Mattia De Sciglio also spoke exclusively to Milan Channel about the final against Juventus. He said:

“We believe we can win, on Saturday if we play like a team as we have done against the big teams this season then we have a good chance. It is a one-off match so any episode can change the course of the game so we have to believe in ourselves, play as a team and run for every ball. We know we are facing the champions of Italy and that they are favourites and that is why we all have to be compact and united and we have to try and limit the potential of their players. I don’t think we should forget the game against Roma because it was one of the worst games of our season and that has to serve as a way of bringing the best out of us, all our rage and disappointment. For many of us Saturday night will be the first final in three years and it is a fundamental game because it would grant us European football, which we were not able to claim with the league so we have to give everything and spit blood for this final.”

“What happens in the changing room should remain in the changing room, but if what the coach apparently said was true then it should be used to motivate us. The attitude is the most important thing, not the set-up of how we play, because that is how the game will be decided. I have felt good in recent matches, it is difficult to be happy in this kind of situation but all I am thinking about now is Saturday’s game and I will continue to work as I have always done even when I wasn’t playing that well. I have always given everything for this club and I will continue to do so until the very end. It would be a wonderful experience to go to the Euros so I will try to do all I can do to try and convince Conte to take me there.”
