MILAN – Youth team coach Cristian Brocchi spoke at Milanello earlier today. Here were his thoughts on a range of themes:

“Sport has taught me how to live and indicating the right path to young people is one of the best things possible. There are other sides with more pressure on them than us. We’re a young team, but reaching the Final-8 makes us proud. Since it is not yet official about Sinisa Mihajlovic, I cannot add anything more to than what you are telling me. He is a person that we all know, we know he has a very strong character, he’s highly motivated and has a big desire to do well. Let’s hope he can take Milan back to the places that it deserves to be.

“I experienced many years and many triumphs with Inzaghi as a player. It’s sad that a former team-mate and a friend hasn’t done well and not obtained the results that had been set out at the start. I am sorry, but I am sure that he will have other opportunities and show what his values are. At this moment many things have been said, but I have always said that I am continuing on my path. I am very happy, these wonderful lads are teaching me a lot.

“The President respects me and he has followed up close my development. The fact that he is talking well about me and the youth sector is great. It’s hard to say what needs to change, I think there is a good foundation of players that can achieve something positive. With the arrival of other players, I think that Milan can go back to being an important club in the Italian championship.”
