MILAN – Christian Abbiati spoke to the Milan Channel earlier today. This is what the Italian shot-stopper had to say:
“15 years at Milan is a long time and I am very proud about it. I remember that on the first day I was embarrassed and I didn’t say a word. It would take a couple of years before having a chat with Maldini. I spoke with Pessina (new addition from Monza, editor’s note). It’s a real shame that a club like that has folded. Last season went how it did, unfortunately, but now we are all ready to roll up our sleeves. We have started off well this season and the coach is already showing us what he wants. Alfredo Magni (goalkeeper coach, editor’s note) is an excellent trainer and we have a great relationship with him. Gabriel and Donnarumma are great goalkeeping prospects for the future, they will have to listen to the advice from the senior members”.
