MILAN – Coach Brocchi spoke exclusively to Milan Channel. This is what he said:
“I’m hoping that the emotion of playing in a Final will bring out a lot more than was seen against Roma at the weekend, the desire to run for 90 minutes, to be aggressive and determined and to fight for every ball. Without that we can stay here and talk about tactics or playing systems but it won’t matter. Of course you have to prepare for these kind of games tactically speaking, my staff and I have been going through the strength and the few weaknesses that Juventus have and if the players, as well as what we have been showing them, are able to also demonstrate all those things I have just mentioned then we can play a good game. The result can come down to many things but our attitude must be the same in every match. I don’t know if it is better to play a one-off match or not, history shows us that anything can happen when it is a just a one-off game but the most important thing will be how the players prepare for this match in terms of desire and emotional impact.
Even last week I saw a team that had the right attitude in training but then we produced an abysmal performance against Roma so the important thing is to prepare as well as possible and get to kick-off with a real desire to hear the whistle blow. Bonaventura and Niang are an added bonus for us because they have shown that they are important players for this club but I don’t want to talk too much about absent players or those back from injury. Juve have a winning mentality and even if they will be without three important players like Bonucci, Marchisio and Khedira what is most important is the way they appraoch games. So even though we have players coming back from injury it will be important to play the game with the same appraoch as they do.”
