MILAN – The Rossoneri edged out 10-man Bologna 1-0 on Saturday night at the Dall’Ara thanks to a 40th minute penalty from Carlos Bacca.

Bologna made a bright start to the contest but went down to 10-men after only 12 minutes when Diawara was sent-off for a second bookable offence on 12 minutes.

Boosted by their man advantage, the Rossoneri began to take control and took the lead on the cusp of half-time thanks to a Bacca penalty after Luiz Adriano had been brought down by Da Costa.

Milan were unable to add to their lead in the second-half despite enjoying plenty of possession although Luiz Adriano went close on two occasions from distance.
