PREVIOUS MEETINGS IN TALLINN AND UDINE.
The national team has played in Tallinn three times, all in World Cup qualifying matches. The first time in the Estonian capital was on September 22, 1993, when Italy won 3-0 thanks to a Roberto Baggio brace and a goal from Roberto Mancini. Prandelli’s Italy came from behind to win 2-1, with goals from Antonio Cassano and Leonardo Bonucci.
Exactly one year later, Udine will host Italy-Israel again. On October 14, 2024, at the Stadio Friuli, the national team defeated Israel 4-1 (with a brace from Di Lorenzo and goals from Retegui and Frattesi) in the fourth matchday of Group 2 of League A of the UEFA Nations League.
