Today is the 50th anniversary of the death of famous Italian Antonio De Curtis, better known as Totò’.
Totò, nicknamed The Price of Laughter, died on 15 April 1967. Totò born in Naples on 15 February 1898 was an Italian comedian, film and theater actor, writer, singer and songwriter.
“SSC Napoli would like to commemorate Antonio De Curtis through his most famous quotes, which have become a cult in the collective imagination, both Italian and worldwide. They’ve been nicely reinterpreted by some of our footballers. A pleasant way to remember the Prince of laughter, universal interpreter of Neapolitanism and an everlasting monument that will live for ever in our hearts.”
