Juventus, 8th position with 19 points and a positive goal difference of +10

The redemption moment for Juventus after their Champions League elimination. Juventus win -though not convincing- the Serie A Week 12 against Lecce on Saturday 29 October 2022 at the Via Del Mare Stadium in Lecce, Italy. Fagioli with a pearl from the edge gives the three points to the bianconeri; Hjulmand hits a post at the end. Lecce, still looking for their first home success after four draws in a row between the friendly wall. Juventus returning from two victories against Turin and Empoli and eager to shorten the European zone. In the thirteenth round, Baroni’s boys will be protagonists of the advance against Udinese while Allegri’s team will face Inter.

Four yellow cards for Juventus in the first half.

Juventus, finally, opened the score in the 73rd minute. Nicolò Fagioli defeated Lecce goalkeeper Falcone with a right-footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Samuel Iling-Junior.

Stats before the game. Juventus won the last precedent 4-0 against Lecce in Serie A, on 26 June 2020 – the bianconeri have not obtained two consecutive wins against the Salento in the league since 2008 and have not kept a clean sheet in two consecutive games since 2002. After the 0-2 defeat against Bologna in the last round, Lecce could run out of goals for two consecutive Serie A matches for the first time since January 2020 (Udinese and Parma on that occasion). Lecce have drawn all of their last four Serie A games at the Via del Mare 1-1 and could for the first time in their history in the top flight to find equal in five home matches in a row. Juventus have won their last two Serie A games without conceding a goal and could keep a clean sheet for three consecutive games in the top flight for the first time since last February – instead returning to February 2021 to find the last series of three accompanied successes from clean sheet.

👉 Lineup LECCE (4-3-3): Falcone: Baschirotto, Pongracic, Gendrey, Gallo; Blin, Hjulmand, Gonzalez; Strefezza, Ceesay, Oudin.

👉 Lineup JUVENTUS (4-3-3): Szczesny; Cuadrado, Danilo, Gatti, Alex Sandro; McKennie, Miretti, Rabiot; Soulè, Kostic, Milik

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Napoli, 1st position with 29 points and a positive goal difference of +17
Sassuolo, 9th position with 15 points and a positive goal difference of +1

Napoli keep the first position after winning the Serie A Week 12 game against Sassuolo on Saturday 29 October 2022 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Italy. The motivation is high for Napoli after qualifying to the Champions League Round of 16. Napoli reached 32 points while Sassuolo remains at 15 points. Another victory for Napoli commanding the game in the first half and goes to the net with two goals from Victor Osimhen and one from Kvaratskhelia. In the second half Sassuolo tries on several occasions but finds himself in front of the wall raised by Meret. In the final, Osimhen added the cherry on top of the ice cream scoring a hat-trick.

In the next round, Napoli will go to Bergamo to visit Atalanta, while Sassuolo will host Empoli.

Napoli celebrating Diego Armando Maradona’s 62nd birthday. At the center of the camp, friends and former companions of the Pibe de Oro remembered him with their words. A huge flag with the face of Maradona was waved by 60 children wearing a t-shirt with the words ‘Greetings Diego’, while the teams descend on the pitch to warm up.

An emotional moment between the ex-Sassuolo player Giacomo Raspadori with an embrace before the game with Sassuolo coach Dionisi. Raspadori playing for the first time against his former team.

Napoli opened the score with a fast goal in the 4th minute. Forward Victor Osimhen defeated Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrea Consigli with a left-footed shot to the center. The assist is by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

A brilliant moment for Victor Osimhen scoring a brace! In the 19th minute, Osimhen scored this time with a right-footed shot to the center. The assist is by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Napoli crushing Sassuolo with a third goal in the 36th minute. It is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to score with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Mário Rui following a corner conceded by Rogerio.

Napoli crushing Sassuolo with Victor Osimhen scoring a hat-trick in the 77th minute. Osimhen scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

✅  Stats before the game.  After the 6-1 win last April, Napoli could record two straight wins against Sassuolo in Serie A for the third time, after two with Gennaro Gattuso in 2020 and three with Rafael Benítez in 2015.  Sassuolo have won two of the 18 Serie A matches against Napoli, both successes arrived in the first round (2015 and 2020) – that of November 2020 was also the only match in which the neroverdi kept a clean sheet against the Neapolitans in the competition (0-2 at Maradona).  Napoli are unbeaten in 15 Serie A matches (13W, 2D), the longest open streak among the teams currently in Serie A: the Neapolitans started this unbeaten series against Sassuolo, thanks to the 6-1 on 30 April last. Napoli are currently two points less than the first 11 games played in the Corsican championship (29 v 31) – however, the Neapolitans drew the next in the 2021/22 season – with a success against Sassuolo they would equal their record of points after 12 matches in a Serie A season (32).

👉Lineup NAPOLI (4-3-3): Meret, Di Lorenzo, Kim, Juan Jesus, Mario Rui, Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski, Lozano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia

👉 Lineup SASSUOLO (4-3-3 ): Consigli – Toljan, Erlic, Ferrari, Rogerio – Frattesi, Lopez, Thorsvedt – Ceide, Pinamonti, Laurientè
