Personal growth and integration through the values of sport: this is the fundamental aim of the "One Milan" project promoted by the Turkish Airline Euroleague Final Four Milan.The Euroleague is the elite competition for European male basketball and is comparable to football’s UEFA Champions League. In 2012, it decided to launch a project that tackled social problems that mainly affected youths through basketball.8 European basketball teams immediately decided to take part, of which the EA7 Emporio Armani Milano team. From this One Team Project, One Milan was then born, taking inspiration from the arrival in the city of Milan of the Final Four: the final round of the Euroleague which decides the European Champions. The 4 teams will be competing at the Fila Forum from the 16th to the 18th of May.One Milan’s objective is to help integrate youths from the poorer neighbourhoods through its partnership with the various sports clubs. One Team used the appeal of basketball to help with integration in communities, One Milan will use the power of sport as a whole.Dino Meneghin, the representative of EA7 Emporio Armani Milano and Filippo Galli on behalf of the Milan Foundation were on hand at the Vismara Sports Centre for the first session of One Milan. Youths from the Scuola Bottega of the Milan Foundation took part along with others from the EA7 social project, the Sport Zone project launched by Inter FC, CUS Rugby Milan and even Elisa Trombetta the athlete from the Special Olympics.One Milan represents a moment of integration between youths that go through struggles on a daily basis and who are trying to improve their lives thanks to the help of the above sporting and non-sporting associations who work tirelessly to support them. The project will lead to other sessions which will be held by the other partners of One Milan.
