FOR A GREAT CAUSE

MILAN – The Milan Foundation played their part in the Milan Marathon on Sunday, raising money for the Play For Change project. The initiative already has 6 centres in Italy dedicated to minors at risk, youngsters between 11 and 20 years of age. Through educational workshops, individual coaching, training and sport they are helped to start studying again or return to the job market, with the support of an educator, a psychologist and a coach.
Speaking at Sunday’s marathon, Rocco Giorgianni of the Milan Foundation said the following to the Milan Channel: "It’s important to involve a lot of people and friends. We had 180 runners take part and run for us. There was a great reaction and we were able to get 45 relays with a response that went beyond our expectations. A lot of people have taken a shine to us. The time registered is important, but it isn’t the only factor."
