Giuseppe Rossi underwent an orthopaedic examination and diagnostic procedures this morning to determine the severity of the knee sprain he sustained yesterday. The results confirm a grade 2 tear of the medial collateral ligament in the same knee (right) on which he previously had anterior cruciate ligament reconstructive surgery.

Further evaluation of the striker's injury and the prognosis will be carried out over the coming days by prof. Richard Steadman, the surgeon who performed Rossi's second ACL reconstruction.
