SUPER NOLE!

(IN THE PHOTO: Nole at Milanello)MILAN – Novak “Nole” Djokovic is the World’s number one after winning a fantastic Wimbledon final against Roger Federer. The Serbian tennis star, and massive Milan fan, reached the final following his semi-final victory over Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov in four sets (6-4, 3-6, 7-6, 7-6)
Sunday's match was the third Wimbledon final for Djokovic. In 2011 he defeated Nadal while he was beaten in 2013 by the local idol Murray.
The final was the 35th time that Roger and Nole have faced each other. The only previous occasion at Wimbledon though was in the 2012 semi-final which was won by Federer in four sets. In the Grand Slam competitions they have played each other a total of 11 times. In 2014 they have met 3 times.
This year is proving to be a special one for Nole, who in addition to the Wimbledon crown, has won the Indian Wells Masters against Roger Federer, the Miami Masters versus Rafael Nadal and the Italian Open held in Rome.
Congratulations Nole from all the Milan fans!
