RICCARDO SAPONARA TO THE MILAN CHANNEL: “Happy to have stayed at the club”

MILAN - Riccardo Saponara spoke exclusively to the Milan Channel today. Here’s some of what he had to say: “When I got on the pitch against Torino, I felt really positive and I started playing like Seedorf asked me to. The team is on the rise and our play will improve as we’re working well in training and we’ll get results on the pitch. When I came on for Robinho against Torino, I tried my best to make my contribution and I hope that the coach is happy with that. We played a good game and took very few risks. We did well to block their counter attacks and created good situations in their half.I wasn’t expecting this season to start the way it did and I’ve got some satisfaction like my debut in Serie A with Milan which has always been a dream of mine. Now I’m getting back into shape. I’m happy I stayed here and I ready to come off the bench to make my contribution to the team. It’s a different formation that we’re playing with now but the important thing is the attitude of the players and the ideas that the coach brings to the team. They’re different to what was before and we the players have to follow them. There are three players behind the striker now and that means more space to express myself in and show what I can do.Napoli haven’t had such good results recently but they’re a big team. We’ll be going to the San Paolo to bring back 3 points and we have the quality to impose our game on them. My dream now is to get my first goal for the team and continue to give my contribution”.
