MILAN- This is what was said by the coaching staff and the players following Milan’s 2-1 victory away to Palermo on Saturday afternoon:

FILIPPO INZAGHI (press conference)
“We can always do better. But, from the Fiorentina match we’ve been playing how we know how. Very few sides have won at Palermo. We played very well, and with a valid second goal ruled out. We conceded a goal, but we reacted right away. We were a team and this is the main thing, continuing to create good goal scoring chances. I am very happy. There’s a long way to go, but the desire and the spirit of these players is remarkable. Victories give you confidence and awareness in your means. We dominated in the second half and we didn’t suffer that much. When the match was coming to an end they scored a penalty. The reaction was good and we showed that we are a proper and united group. We had some important players available on the bench and that helped us and we have been missing this in the previous rounds. I am focused on the team and our day to day job. I am happy with these back to back wins and so is the President. We have to bring him some more joy and we have to do the same to the fans in this final part of the season.”

LUCA ANTONELLI
“It’s three fundamental points, we needed them, especially as we hadn’t won away from home in a long time. It’s a victory that is worth double because very few sides have won here at Palermo. We’re very happy for the team as we all work hard every day and for the coach who gives his all and for the club that is always close to us. We came here and played our game and took three vital points to continue our dream. We all did well, it was hard to react after they equalised, but we did it. There are 9 finals to go, but let’s enjoy our Easter and from Tuesday we will start to think about the Sampdoria match. Happy Easter to everyone.”

SUSO
“I am happy to have made my league debut and to have played, and I am happy for the team and for the three points. Let’s already start to think though about next week’s match. The players on the bench have to be ready. We came on in a difficult moment, but we made sure we were ready. The whole team did well. A win away from home is always important. We have to keep taking it one game at a time. This though can be the start. I’ve done well and I hope to maybe play even more next week.”

MAURO TASSOTTI
“It was important to win again after the match with Cagliari. The first half was a balanced affair, we broke the deadlock, and I don’t know whether or not we deserved it in that moment. In the second half we came close to doubling our lead. We then conceded a penalty but we did well to score again through Menez. You make your own luck. We’ve had to make do without a lot of players for a long time, but now they are coming back and it gives us the chance to bring players off the bench that can change the match. Now it’s down to us to make sure we have them available until the end of the season. We now have 9 matches ahead of us, this result gives us confidence for the upcoming fixtures, even if we haven’t resolved everything. Menez is a player that lights up the game, he has extraordinary athletic abilities, he’s technically excellent. We have some faults but we definitely also have a lot of positives. Those that came off the bench did well, Pazzini came close to scoring, Suso was lively in between the lines. We’re also happy with them.”
