MIHAJLOVIC TO RAI SPORT: “We gave away nothing and it was a good test.”

MILAN – These were Sinisa Mihajlovic’s comments to RAI SPORT after Milan’s 2-0 win over Perugia in the Coppa Italia (TIM Cup):

“We did well, but after our second goal we were happy to settle and I don’t like this because we always have to play by giving our absolute all. There was just one negative from this evening and I don’t understand how the fans can whistle a Milan player. If they come to the stadium they have to cheer the side on. If they want to whistle they should do so after the match. It’s unacceptable. The players give their all for the shirt. Romagnoli and Ely? They did well, they were focused and switched on. We gave away nothing and it was a good test. We should have added more goals after the second however. Everybody played their part, it was not easy. It was the first match of the season, we’re on the right path and we must continue like this. Ibra? I prefer to talk about players in my squad. The club knows what is needed on the transfer front. Fiorentina? It will be a hard match. Every match in Serie A is difficult.”
