Here are the declarations of former Torino Coach Emiliano Mondonico to the Milan Channel about new Milan signing forward Alessio Cerci on Thursday 8 January 2015.

“When I was coaching Torino, they were always great matches against a Milan side that was at the highest levels of the game. Lentini’s best form I think was at Milan before the accident. At that time it wasn’t easy to arrive at Milan. What he did at Milan showed that he could have aimed for the Ballon d’Or if he didn’t have that tragic accident. Cerci has something similar to Gigi Lentini, even if Lentini was a right footer that played on the right and so had a different style of play. I’ve also seen Cerci play as a second striker, but I think Inzaghi’s 4-3-3 is ideal for him. Against Milan I remember a 2-2 draw with two goals by Pinga for Torino.”

Emiliano Mondonico’s thoughts on Filippo Inzaghi and on how he is performing: “Inzaghi is doing well because he’s interpreting the role in the right manner, especially with how he comes across. He’s trying to protect his players, without ever provoking. I imagine that Torino-Milan on Saturday will be a hard match.”
