A duel and failure for different reasons. AS Roma failing to keep up the race for the Scudetto with Juventus having now -3 points behind. Roma needed the victory to keep a -1 point. AC Milan also failing on their quest to climb to the 3rd position remaining now in the 7th position.
It’s a goalless draw helping more AC Milan considering they were the visitors and playing with 10 players since the 70th minute. Referee Nicola Rizzoli sending off Milan defender Pablo Armero after getting a second yellow card following a handball. The first yellow card was in the 39th minute after Armero committed a foul on Roma captain Francesco Totti. Just too bad for Milan, and yet, Roma could not profit having the extra man for the last 20 minutes.
Surely, there is arguable a penalty not given to AS Roma as sustained by Roma coach Rudi Garcia when Gervinho and De Jong jumped to catch the ball… not a clear action, even with the replay…. watch the video…
Bottom line, it’s a step back for Roma playing at home and not winning against Milan surviving with 10 players.
