Afternoon session at the Filadelfia before Azzurri depart for Albania on Sunday, 07/10/2017

 

Following their 1-1 draw against Macedonia, the Azzurri today completed an afternoon training session at the Stadio Filadelfia. This historic ground is linked to the iconic Grande Torino team and was inaugurated last May after a significant reconstruction.
Welcoming Buffon and co. on Saturday were a group of 600 youth footballers who played for either the Torino academy or other local teams. Granata President Urbano Cairo also welcomed Gian Piero Ventura’s team.

Following a brief warm-up, the players who took part in Friday’s match completed a light workout, while the rest of the squad completed around 50 minutes of technical exercises. The squad will tomorrow complete their final session at the Sisport centre in the morning, before then leaving for Albania on Sunday afternoon. Scutari will host the Azzurri’s next World Cup qualfier, with the National Team taking on Albania on Monday evening (20:45 CEST).
