AC MILAN LAUNCH NEW HOME STRIP

MILAN – The new AC Milan home kit for the 2016/17 season made its debut at the San Siro in the match against Roma. The jersey takes inspiration from the definition outlined by its founder and creator, Herbert Kilpin: "We're going to be a team of devils. Our colours will be red, like the fire, and black, like the fear our opponents will feel." The design was developed from this initial vision highlighting a special dripping graphic where the bright red colour fades into black. During the creative process, Fabio Novembre, an AC Milan consultant, was involved in the jersey’s evolution. Home jersey designThe new AC Milan home jersey comes with thin red and black stripes on the front and total black on the back. The shade of red featured in the red and black stripes is brighter than last year's jersey and creates a dripping effect at the bottom of the shirt. The adidas three stripes are grey to give greater uniformity to the kit design and they are placed on the side of the shirt, rather than on the shoulders, to show continuity with the shorts' stripes. The black V-neck collar features an Italian flag on the back. The crest displayed on the Home jersey returns, after a two year absence, to the contemporary AC Milan badge. The white adidas logo is on the left. The names and numbers of the players are written in Milan Type. The shorts are black with three grey stripes. The AC Milan logo is featured on the front, while the red adidas logo is on the back. The new Rossoneri home kit is rounded off with black socks featuring elements of red.Adizero TecnologyThe new Authentic kit will allow players to be faster and more comfortable on the field. It is made using a lightweight fabric which increases breathability by providing greater freedom of movement and comfort without sacrificing flexibility and resilience. The Replica jerseys, on the other hand, feature the climacool ventilation technology designed to help keep your body cool and dry through holes, breathable materials, fabrics and special stitchings. The jersey is made of recycled polyester, which has a lower impact on the environment as it reduces emissions, and therefore plays a key role in the adidas programme to protect the environment and promote sustainability. The Home jersey is now on sale in all the adidas and AC Milan stores and as well as in the adidas and AC Milan ecommerce channels worldwide

ROSSONERI MEDIA DAY

MILAN - Here is what the Rossoneri had to say during Media Day, today at Milanello, ahead of the final of the Italian Cup:
DAVIDE CALABRIA (MILAN CHANNEL)"We are confident and we can do it. We need to be ready to give our utmost since Juventus are strong, but we can make a good performance if we don't fail the approach to the game. The first challenge this season was not so good for both of us, but we deserved to win the second clash. This means that nothing is impossible. We don't have to forget the game against Roma, it is essential to win. This is still not the play the coach wants, I believe he could do better and that his play is also much more exciting and efficient. We need to know well our opponents but we cannot stop to this because it is up to us. This is the first trophy I could win since I have been with the club, I'm happy and hope to win it, otherwise our efforts to reach this stage would have been useless."
DAVIDE CALABRIA"It is a great excitement to be at Milan and have the chance to play the Italian Cup final at the first season. I'm ready and I'm working hard. I feel calm now but we'll see on Saturday. We need to improve all our sides, if we didn't win either last year or this, it means we have to change something.I have been with the coach since the youth team, I was always playing and was very confident. I think I have returned almost to my 100% and I think I'm ready to play against Juventus on Saturday. You improve more and more when you play in a first team for one year, you learn and grow. I'm happy with my season, I hope to do better and better.Regarding the discussion with the coach, it is normal to have one in a dark period. He spoke to the team and tried to boost and motivate all of us. We will try to give our best in the last challenge of the season. I hope the coach remains here, I feel good with him and the same is for the rest of the team. I was happy for the discussion with him, he gave us a boost and we can only do better."
M'BAYE NIANG:"I've recovered well and joined the team yesterday, I'm still a bit behind but hope to be on top shape on Saturday. We don't have to forget that we are AC Milan and we will have to try to return winning a trophy after such a long time. If the coach gives me a chance to play, I'll do my best, it would be my first trophy. We have to forget the last game with Roma, we don't have to regret anything and play with humility looking for a win. For me the final is the most important. Many players dream to feature here, now I'm here and I'm happy."
GIACOMO BONAVENTURA:“I am fine, I've recovered fully. I did not have much trouble finding getting fit and I am ready to play this match. Juventus are a tough team, we need to play a great match. We will have to prepare to this match, trying to be aggressive. Juventus have dominated the league this season and they have also proven to be one of the best teams not only in Italy but also in Europe. However, we have to believe that we can beat them and we will do our best to try to win. We are very motivated. We want to win because for us it this the most important game of the season because during the year we have faced a lot of difficult challenges, but this can give us the chance to win a trophy. He need to be prepared to do well. Our league campaign came up short of expectations, this final can turn things around in a way and bring the year to a positive conclusion.
“We did not play that well against Roma but that is in the past and we have to look ahead as we have to give our all in the final game. The coach wants us to bring out our best and we need to be more aggressive but luck can also play a part and maybe Juve will not be on top of their game. There is a chance to win and we believe. I have not thought that much about where I will play. I think the team should have a proactive and aggressive attitude. When they have the ball, we have to be clever enough to retrieve it. I have had some good performances this season and I am happy. I think I can do better, I do not think about the future because the present is too important. We will look at the future later."
