A blow for Juventus!   Atalanta stopping Juventus’ winning path after battling to get a draw.  Juventus had won their first 6 games, but today, Atalanta said no more.  Incredible so, Juventus who were leading with a 2-0 ended up with a 2-2 draw.   It means that Napoli is now the only team winning all 7 games and being the sole leader of the Serie A with 21 points followed by Juventus and Inter with 19 points each.  Atalanta went down to the 11th position with 9 points.

The sour note is for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala failing to convert the penalty which would have given Juve the victory.   Brilliant save by Atalanta goalkeeper Berisha.  A highlight of the match is also the record by defender Giorgio Chiellini becoming the 10th longest serving Juventus player with 441 appearances.

Juventus opening the score in the 21st minute. A special goal because Federico Bernardeschi scores his first goal as a Juventus player. Bernardeschi defeating Atalanta goalkeeper Etrit Berisha from close range with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner.  Superb.

In the 24th minute, there it is forward Higuaín delighting the fans after delivering a left footed shot with assist by Bernardeschi. Way to go for Bernardeschi not only scoring a goal, but also providing the assist for Higuaín’s goal.

Atalanta shortening the distance in the 31st minute. Defender Mattia Caldara defeating Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon from close range with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.

Atalanta equalizing for the 2-2 in the 67th minute. It is midfielder Bryan Cristante to defeat Buffon with a headed shot in the top left corner. The assist is by Alejandro Gomez with a cross.
