The battle for the Scudetto.   Here is the situation.  Juventus can win the Scudetto with 2 games in advance if they defeat AS Roma.  The victory for Juventus will also be an added boost ahead of the Coppa Italia Final with Lazio.   Juventus having the chance to win the treble: Scudetto, Coppa and Champions League…..   The challenge is to win one game at a time…….

Roma needs the victory to keep the 2nd position and qualify for the direct qualification to the Champions League next season.  The third place will play the playoffs.

It is Juventus to open the score in the 22nd minute.  Midfielder Mario Lemina defeating AS Roma goalkeeper Szczęsny from close range with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner.   The assist is by forward Gonzalo Higuaín.

AS Roma equalizing for the 1-1 in the 25th minute. It is Captain Daniele De Rossi to level the situation. You bet De Rossi was super concentrated because the goal was like a “volleyball game.” Yep, the first attempt by De Rossi challenging Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon with a right footed while  Buffon clearing punching the ball away with both hands in the bottom right corner. However, the ball on the rebound falling in the way of De Rossi again and  smacking again a right footed shot.  Buffon could not save because the ball went to the top right corner where he could not reach.  The joy by Roman fans immediately after the goal.  De Rossi scoring in three consecutive games.

The Roman gladiators taking the lead in the 56th minute!  It is forward Stephan El Shaarawy to raise the party mood in the Olimpico when he defeated goalkeeper Buffon with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner.  The assist is by midfielder Radja Nainggolan.   It seems there was a slight deviation by Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner …… El Shaarawy scoring in two consecutive games.

Party is on at the Olimpico!    Roma increasing the score to a 3-1 in the 65th minute!   It is midfielder Radja Nainggolan to smack a right footed shot all the way to the bottom right corner with Buffon frustrated failing to save.  The assist is by midfielder Mohamed Salah with a through ball.
