After three days of hard work, the training camp held at Coverciano for Italy National team hopefuls comes to an end

Thursday 26 May 2022

Three days have been spent in Coverciano assessing two groups and 52 lads on the pitch: with a training match this morning, the camp held at the Federal Technical Centre came to an end.

After yesterday afternoon’s training session, the second group concluded their time at the camp with an in-house match (30 minutes each half) on the ‘Enzo Bearzot’ pitch at Coverciano.

The game ended 2-2, with all goals coming in the second half. Oristanio, with an accurate effort with his left foot, broke the deadlock shortly after the restart, before his team’s lead was overturned by Zerbin (scoring with a good individual effort) and Cancellieri (on hand to finish off a sharp counter-attacking move). At 1-1, Plizzari had saved a penalty, but he could do nothing to stop Nasti’s shot in the dying seconds of the match as the game finished 2-2.
