✅  Stats before the game.  Milan have lost only one of their last 25 Serie A matches against Bologna (18W, 6D), on 6 January 2016, when current Rossoblù coach Sinisa Mihajlovic was on the Rossoneri bench (0-1, goal by Giaccherini ). Milan have obtained a clean sheet in both of their last two Serie A matches at the Meazza against Bologna (1W, 1N) and could keep a clean sheet for three home games in a row against the rossoblùs for the first time since 1999 (six of following).  Bologna are unbeaten in three Serie A matches with the three most successful opponents in the competition (Juventus, Inter and Milan); excluding the same three teams, the last formation to have recorded a longer unbeaten streak against these opponents was Roma (five, between 2020 and 2021), while the last time the rossoblù did better was in 2012, with Stefano Pioli on the bench (four). Milan won the first home game of this championship; both in 2020/21 and 2021/22 the Rossoneri managed to win both their first two home games of the season – they have not been able to do so for three seasons in a row since 2003/04.
