Italy Head Coach Antonio Conte has called up 28 players including 9 players not playing in the local Serie A league for the National team EURO 2016 Qualification game Malta on September 3 in Florence and Bulgaria on September 6 in Palermo.

News is to see Conte still considering as key players Sebastian Giovinco and midfielder Andrea Pirlo both playing in the United States Major Soccer League (MLS).
Italy are second place in Group H, one point behind Croatia. The players will meet up in Coverciano on Sunday 30 August after their club games.
- Italy team have two training sessions scheduled for Monday 31 August at the Federal Technical Centre. They will have a final training session at the ‘Artemio Franchi’ stadium on Wednesday, before the game against Malta on Thursday 3rd September at 20:45 CEST.
- The Italian team will travel to Palermo on Saturday 5th, where they will complete a training session at the ‘Renzo Barbera’ stadium a day before the game against Bulgaria on Sunday 6th September at 20:45 CEST.
