It seems  the 3-5-2 formation with coach Massimiliano Allegri trusting the attack led by Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente was not enough to defeat Atletico.   Juventus conceding the first goal this season in the Champions League.

Referee Byrch giving the first yellow card of the match to Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci  in the 13th minute after a foul on forward  Raul Garcia.

Atletico de Madrid opening the score in the 74th minute with forward Arda Turan defeating Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon wiht a left footed shot in the bottom left corner.  The assist is by defender Juanfran.

Problems for Juventus with a forced substitution in the 78th minute.  Defender Martin Caceres is injured and  cannot continue and is repalced by Roberto Pereyra.

Allegri trying different changes to revert the result.  In the 83rd minute, Juventus replacing midfiedler Arturo Vidal with the ex Real Madrid player Morata.  Surely, emotional game for Morata because he was also listed in the Atletico Madrid’s youth team and being also a ball boy here at the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Referee Byrch giving a yellow card to Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco in the 94th minute for a handball.
