Thumbs up AS Roma!   Super way to start the USA tour with a victory against Premier League team Liverpool FC on Wednesday 23 July 2014 at the Fenway Stadium in Boston. Yep.  The Roman gladiators defeated Liverpool with the goal by forward Marco Borriello in the 90th minute following a a corner defeating goalkeeper Brad Jones in front of a sold out crowd delighting Italian fans.  Here is the action, the shot was deflected by Liverpool defender Daniel Agger.   Imagine, Borriello came as a substitute in the second half, good move.

This is the second time AS Roma defeat Liverpool at the Fenway Stadium.  Two years ago, Roma won with a 2-1 score.  Today, it’s another giallorossi victory.   Roma are now preparing for the International Champions Cup to play against Manchester United on Saturday 26 July at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado.

Highlight of the game the presence of the Boston Red Sox principal owner John Henry watching the game!    New AS Roma signing and former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole and Jforward uan Manuel Iturbe making  their debut with the Roman gladiators.    The presence also of the ex AS Roma player Fabio Borini playing for Liverpool and injured in the 12th minute resulting in his replacement by Emre Can.
