MILAN- The AC Milan youth sector side, the Primavera, cruised to a 6-1 victory away to Virtus Lanciano in the round 10 league match on Saturday.

The rossoneri started brightly, pinning Virtus Lanciano back in their own half, and after just 5 minutes Vassallo won his side a penalty. Vido stepped up and kept his cool to score from the penalty spot and give Milan a 1-0 lead.

Cristian Brocchi’s side remained in control of the match and went in search of a second goal with chances falling to De Santis and Modic. The pressure from the rossoneri paid off on the half-hour mark and De Santis doubled Milan’s lead with a header. On the stroke of half-time, Milan added a third through Fabbro.

The goals kept on coming and within just 3 minutes of the restart, Milan made it 4-0 after a well worked move which was rounded off by Vido in what was his second goal of the game.

The hosts did manage to pull a goal back on 52 minutes, but it wasn’t long before the rossoneri restored their 4 goal cushion moments later through Fabbro who completed his brace.

Modic completed the rout in the 78th minute to make it 6-1 with a powerful shot from distance.

A minute silence was observed in memory of Lorenzo Costantini, the Virtus Lanciano youth player who sadly lost his life to leukemia, before the match started.
