Palermo saluting the Serie A with a home victory defeating Empoli on Sunday 28 May 2017 at the Renzo Barbera Stadium in Palermo, Italy at 20:45.  Palermo who were already relegated to the Serie B next season became Empoli’s verdugo.  Yep.    A tough slap as Empoli who were in the 17th position suffered a nightmare.   Crotone who were in the 18th position “and ready for relegation” got a miracle and defeated Lazio to overtake the 17th position while Palermo sent Empoli to relegation!!!!  BAM!

That’s the beauty of football…. game is not over until the referee whistles the end of the match.  A battle is fought until the end.  It’s a tough lesson for Empoli and kudos for Palermo battling for the victory to give their fans at least a victory in their last game in Serie A……
