AC Milan failing to execute the perfect match as suggested by AC Milan coach Leonardo.  A total defeat, a smashing defeat.   Milan is eliminated from the Champions League with the total aggregate result 7 - 2.

Besides the goleada, the highlight of the match was the return for the first time from ex Manchester United midfielder David Beckham to Old Trafford to play against Manchester United.  Surely, it was an emotional match for Beckham now playing for AC Milan on loan from his team Los Angeles Galaxy.  Beckham played for Manchester United from 1993 to 2003 making a total of 265 appearances scoring 62 goals.
