Now, the Italian anthem... close up from a waving Italian flag and the fans.. now close up from players Borrielo, De Rossi, Pirlo, Criscito, Maggio, Cossu, Di Natale, Chiellini, Marchetti, and Cannavaro... all singing... fans waving a giant Italian flag... close up also from the Italian bench, subs singing too... we are rocking guys, let's gooooooooo SI!!!!!
Cannavaro playing his 132nd match with the Italian National team and 75 times as Captain of Italy. The Roman gladiator Daniele De Rossi playing his 40th match with the Italian National Football team today.

In the 7th minute, a shot from AC Milan midfielder "the Sleepy Prince" Andrea Pirlo to midfielder Cristian Maggio .. brought down inside the penalty area, though Referee Enjimi considers everything regular, ..
In the 8th minute, there is free kick for Italy for a foul from Song on forward Marco Borriello about 30 meters, Pirlo takes the kick... the barrier is set and Cameroon ready with Eto'o among the barrier... Pirlo gets ready.. oh well.. great shot but ends in the hands of Cameroon goalkeeper.... Come on Azzurri...
In the 10th minute, Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale heads the ball after an assist by Pirlo... missing the target

Italy midfielder Daniele De Rossi among two Cameroon midfielders Achille Emana and Enoh Enyong, De Rossi battling as a gladiator. Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the Louis II stadium in Monaco.
Oops, first yellow card in the 24th mintue for Eyong for a bad foul, really bad bringing down Andrea Pirlo.. Pirlo takes the free kick with a right footed shot and missing the target...
In the meantime, Lippi gives instructions to the players.
Oh my gosh... in the 25th minute, Di Natale with the chance to score after an assist by Andrea Cossu but Di Natale not making it on time and misses the target....
In the 30th minute, chance for the Azzurri, Cossu is having a great match and making some space in the midfield sending the assist to Daniele De Rossi,, geeee. though cleared by Cameroon defense.. but good attempt... come on guys..
Oh my gosh, guys, you bet Cagliari fans are glued to the TV because their midfielder Cossu is rocking big time now... in the 32nd minute Cossu again creating danger and sends a shot to Di Natale though his shot ends in the arms of the goalkeeper sending the ball away, Di Natale tries again with a headed ball though missing the target.. guys, the goal might come in any moment ... better soon.. there is good connection between Cossu - Di Natale...
In the 35th minute, Andrea Pirlo is booked for a foul from behind on Mbia bringing him down..
wow, awesome, guys, a clamorous applause is heard for Italy and AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso on the bench, he might be standing or something because the applause was like "unisono."
Cameroon goalkeeper Souleymanou Hamidou denying the chance for Borriello to score.... so close....
In the 39th minute, Cossu again.... oh my gosh, the guy is making merits for a next call up.... Cossu sending a long range pass to Borriello.. oh my gosh, but nobody available and Borriello cant get the ball... way to go for Cossu.... one happy man should be Cagliari president Cellino looking at his player.. not often you see Cagliari players with the Azzurri and today there are two, goalkeeper Marchetti and midfielder Cossu.
In the 41st minute, Mbia commits a foul on Bonucci....
Italy Captain and defender Fabio Cannavro in a duel with Cameroon forward Dorge Kouemaha.

Daniele De Rossi out, Gennaro Gattuso in
Andrea Pirlo out, Riccardo Montolivo in
Marco Borriello out, Giampaolo Pazzini in

Emana out, A. Tchoyi in
Oh my gosh, guys, just a clear chance for Italy with Marchisio in the 55th minute sending the pass to Pazzini, what a luck! Nkolou stopping Pazzini.....
Italy forward Antonio Di Natale battling for the ball with Achille Emana
Immediately, Italy insisting... in the 57th minute, mamma miaaaa first Cossu, than Marchisio trying the shot, the ball ends in the way of Di Natale and missing too,, oh my gosh, guys, so far this was the best chance for Italy.. though, our guys not losing hope but encouraging each other.
Guys, so far not seeing the 'awaited solid squad,".. oh well, let's remember this is not the final team going to the World Cup.
In the 59th minute, Cameroon makes a substitution
A. Song out, Makoun in
In the 61st Italy making a substituion, guys, now Di Natale out, and Napoli foward Fabio Quagliarella in
oh my gosh.. bring the goals!!!! In the 66th minute, Nkolou stopping Quagliarella ending on the ground, though the referee considers a regular stop.. no fouls...
Oh well, I am not liking the match that much... I am a bit worried
In the 68th minute, Italy goalkeeper Marchetti saving a shot from Mandjeck...
In the 70th minute, still no goals ... ...corner for Italy .. Cossu takes the corner and another chance with Quagliarella but losing control and Bonucci not able to finalize the action from close range... I am telling you,.. by now, being the last friendly game and we are still battling, struggling to form a team is a bit frustrating... After this match, Lippi should have his idea clear on who the formation is and to strengthen weak areas.. Italy need to finalize the actions,, gets many chances but at the end.. puffssssssssssssssss
In the 72nd minute, Cossu, so far one of the best players of the match, sees Marchisio available though Cameroon goalkeeper anticipates..
In the 80th minute, mamma miaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa a scary moment when Italy goalkeeper Federico Marchetti anticipates Webo escaping from Italian defenders with a solo run.. Marchetti still on the ground and .. well.. .. oh wait... Marchetti is up ... wonder no more testing for other goalkeepers??? Marchetti contnues...
Hey guys, just thinking about it... Lippi definitely giving maybe the "first goalkeeper option" to Marchetti in case of Buffon not making it or being injured ... so Napoli goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis and Palermo goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu remaining on the bench...
Italy makes a substitution in the 82nd minute...
Fabio Cannavaro out, Mattia Cassani in.
Forza Palermo for Cassani, at least 8 minutes playing time... Cannavaro leaves the Captain armband to Gennaro Gattuso.
In the 88th minute, Referee Enjimi gives a yellow card to Bonucci for a bad foul on Webo...free kick for Cameroon... well... blocked,,, corner.. now.. Eto takes the corner and nothing happens.
Wow guys, in the 90th minute an awesome block by Gennaro Gattuso blocking Samuel Eto who was asking a corner, but no.. good thing is that both ends with a laugh among themselves.. ...
That's it guys.. match ends without goals... well, out of this friendly match, good thing ...few... Cagliari midfielder Cossu passing the test with excellent grades and so goalkeeper Federico Marchetti... confirmation from Gattuso commanding the midfield and group motivator, about our forwards.. well, too bad we could not see Pazzini scoring nor Di Natale and neither Quagliarella... a positive thing also defense improvement without conceding goals...
