2010 World Cup Qualifying CONMEBOL Result PARAGUAY 2 - 0 BRASIL Goals by Santa Cruz and Cabanas "6 Players from the Serie A in this Match"

PARAGUAY 2 - 0 BRAZIL
26' Roque Santa Cruz
48' Salvador Cabañas
Substitutions: 52' Nelson Vadez out, Victor Caceres in 45' Josue out, Anderson in
74' Salvador Cabanas out, Aureliano Torres in 59' Mineiro out, ADRIANO in
81' Santa Cruz out, Oscar Cardozo in 70' Diego out, Julio Cesar Baptista in
What a shocking result!
It seems nowadays that almost everybody can beat Brazil and the once famous "jogo bonito" is disappearing. In the 2010 World Cup Qualifying from CONMEBOL between Paraguay and Brazil, there were 5 players from the Italian Serie A for Brazil: FC Inter Goalkeeper Julio Cesar, AS Roma defender Juan, FC Inter defender Maicon, FC Inter striker Adriano, AS Roma goalkeeper Doni. Only DONI did not play but was among the substitutes list. Only 1 Serie A player for Paraguay, Reggina midfielder Edgar Barreto.
Neither Real Madrid striker Robinho could save Brazil nor midfielder Julio Baptista LA BESTIA.
Brazil looked mediocre. It makes me sad for our players from Inter and Roma, but also happy for our Reggina player Edgar Barreto who must be rejoicing this victory with Paraguay.
What's wrong with Brazil?
Too much marketing players and less "real footballers"? Not having enough pride anymore for the country to play their best football? Losing control of jogo bonito?
Paraguay scored with Roque Santa Cruz in the 26th minute from a corner kick, assist by Cabañas to Roque Santa Cruz.
Making the defeat of Brazil even more humiliating is that in the 47th minute, Paraguay remained with 10 men after Dario Veron commits a foul on Robinho.
Unbelievable, but Brazil could not even score a single goal when they had 1 extra man during almost the entire second half!
Second goal for Paraguay in the 49th minute with Salvador Cabañas.
The happy face -- without a doubt-- is Reggina midfielder Edgar Barreto beating the powerful Inter players with Paraguay his national team. Congrats Barreto. I wonder what Inter Coach Jose Mourinho thinks about his new "stellar players" talking about goalkeeper Julio Cesar, Maicon, and Adriano.
I am glad our "MUSICA AND MAGIA KAKA and PATO" from AC Milan were not playing today. Kaka is still recovering from injury and Pato with the Brazilian Olympic team. It would have been sad seeing a Brazilian defeat with KAKA and the young Brazilian sensation Pato.

I can't believe it. Brasil lose 2-0. And who was the last team to beat Brasil by 2-0? I was too busy watching the Euro 2008 quarterfinals. It would be interesting to see if Brasilian press wants Dunga out, this defeat being a perfect excuse.

It was just a disaster. Brazil more than changing the coach, should change the mentality of the players. Brazil is no longer the "unbeatable team." Can you believe the bad performance they had in the 2006 World Cup?
